Although vinyl stickers can get a bit of a bad reputation, we’re here to fight their corner. Our stickers are extremely durable, meaning they will stick to most surfaces without fading for many years. We even have waterproof stickers on marine equipment at the bottom of the ocean, which have not deteriorated for over 10 years! This strength and durability means that fewer stickers need to be printed in the long run.

We are always looking to the future and are in regular contact with our material suppliers about new, more eco-friendly stickers. Unfortunately the market still has a long way to go before we get to a place where we are manufacturing completely biodegradable or compostable stickers which really last. We are hopeful that with the new ‘no single use containers’ policy coming in to play on the horizon, that more material manufacturers will be producing environmentally conscious stickers soon.

If you have received an order from us recently, you may also have noticed that we package our labels in used cardboard boxes. You may have been surprised to have received an Abacas Studios parcel in an Amazon (other online retailers are available!) box. Although they definitely do not need any help with advertising from little old us, we feel that by reusing cardboard boxes and other recyclable packaging items we are at least doing our bit in that department.
