Weather and direct sun light test.
Stickers were applied to a small sheet of Perspex, which was affixed to a garden fence facing due south and the sea, on the cliff tops in Bournemouth, southern England.
After 12 months there was no noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.

Dishwasher test.
Stickers were applied to the side of a mug and washed in a domestic dishwasher along with a normal compliment of crockery at high temperature. After 25 cycles there was no noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.

Hand washing test.
Stickers were applied to the inside and outside of a mug.
Tea and coffee were made in the mug with boiling water. The mug was washed under hot running tap water, robustly rubbing with fingers and thumb. After 25 washes there was no noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.

Boiling water test.
Stickers were applied to the side of a mug and immersed in a pan of boiling water for one hour. Immediately after taking the mug out of the boiling water the stickers were soft and easily damaged. However once the mug cooled down there was no noticeable change in the colours or adhesion. The gloss surface became slightly less glossy.

Hot oven test.
The manufacturers of the vinyl recommend an intermittent use in temperatures of up to 110*C. Stickers were applied to a dinner plate and placed in a hot domestic electric oven. It was left for one hour at 250*C, then removed and allowed to cool. The overall appearance became slightly brownish, the adhesion became stronger.

Chemical tests.
Stickers were applied to pieces of Perspex and submerged in various fluids for seven days.
These are the results: (1) on removal (2) after being left in air for 24 hours after removal.
Meths: (1) Adhesion adversely affected, print easily damaged (2) Back to normal, no noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion
3 in One oil: (1) & (2) No noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.
Petrol (Ronsonol cigarette lighter fuel): (1) & (2) Adhesion adversely affected, no noticeable change in the appearance or colours.
Isopropyl alcohol: (1) & (2) Adhesive adversely affected, no noticeable change in the appearance or colours.
White spirit: (1) & (2) No noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.

Freezer tests
Vinyl stickers were applied to Perspex and put into a domestic freezer. There were examined after seven days. There was no noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.
Stickers are ok in environments of minus 20 degrees C

Sea water tests
Vinyl stickers were applied to Perspex and submerged in sea water. There were examined after seven days. There was no noticeable change in the appearance, colours or adhesion.

Cleaning tests.
We recommend cleaning our stickers with a mild detergent such as Fairy dish washing-up liquid, diluted in water.
Cloths containing meths, petrol (Ronsonol cigarette lighter fuel), and isopropyl alcohol were used to lightly clean the stickers. There was no noticeable change in the appearance or colours. Excessive rubbing should be avoided.

High pressure washer test.
A sticker was applied to a van, and cleaned in the normal way using a commercial high pressure washer. There was no noticeable change in the appearance, colours, vinyl or adhesion.
Christchurch Borough Council pressure wash all their vehicles that have our stickers affixed The stickers show acceptable fair wear and tear over time.

Abrasion tests.
A sticker was rubbed on the same spot, fairly hard with a finger for 10 minutes. There was no noticeable change in the appearance.
Scraping a sticker with the edge of a thumb nail fairly hard for 30 seconds did not case damage to the print.
A sticker was scraped lightly for 15 seconds with a well used craft knife without undue damage. A knife with a new blade scraped off the print and a layer of vinyl.
Rubbing lightly with fine sandpaper caused the print to be damaged.
